NARI of Southern Arizona
EPA RRP Ruling

NARI of Southern Arizona requires all member companies that are general contractors, special trade, and sub-contractors that renovate pre-1978 homes to be Lead Paint RRP certified and all employees performing renovations must be trained by a certified renovator. Some revisions were made to the current law in July of 2011; these revisions take effect on October 5th, 2011. Read about what these changes are here.

As a NARI member and owner of your company, and renovate homes built before 1978, you need to submit copies of both of your certificates to NARI of Southern Arizona:

#1) The certificate you received saying you have completed the renovator's course and are a certified renovator or you were trained by a certified renovator. This document has your name and photo on it. Here is an example.

#2) The certificate you receive from the EPA once you have registered and sent in your fee. Your company name is on this certificate. Here is an example.
Shortly after you have received your certificate, the EPA will list your company on their website as a certified renovation firm. This website is a handy tool that the public can use to search for compliant companies.

To remain in good standing as a NARI member, all of your employees that perform renovations must have the RRP training course certificate. (Example #1 above).
